CLEANING YOUR UPHOLSTERY
Our upholstery is finished to an exceptionally high standard and most cushion covers are zipped so that they can be removed for cleaning. Some fabrics can be washed, others are dry clean only. Please check before laundering. If the covers are washable, use a gentle cycle on a low temperature with non-bio, non-bleaching detergent. Covers from the same furniture should all be washed at the same time in case minor colour change occurs. If your covers are labelled 'dry clean only' take them to a specialist dry cleaner. Do not assume that if a 'dry clean only' label is not present that this means that the covers can be washed by you at home. Contact our staff on 01886 884665 for advice on the cleaning of your covers. Some sofas, armchairs and love seats may have loose cushion covers and other parts have fixed upholstery. These can be cleaned in situ, as with any fixed upholstery, by a specialist service.
CUSHIONS
Each piece of furniture is suppled with the cushion filling our hand-picked manufacturers feel suits it best. If you would like a different filling we can usually supply an alternative. We use feather, fibre, sprinkle (a feather/fibre mix) and foam fillings in our cushions. Feather and sprinkle cushions need to be plumped up regularly to keep them soft and prolong their life. All cushions should be turned regularly if possible to allow for equal wear and fading.

Protect your furniture to prolong its life
All fabrics will fade in bright sunlight. In rooms with lots of glass, or south-facing spaces, consider installing bespoke curtains or blinds to help protect your upholstery from piercing rays. Contact us on 01886 884665 for advice, or more details about suitable window treatments.
Fire retardancy
All fillings meet fire retardancy regulations. If you choose a fabric that is not fire retardant we will supply barrier-lined interiors.
