Outdoor wicker garden furniture is woven from various branded synthetic fibres that are coloured, shaped and textured to look like natural, cane-like materials such as rattan, bamboo, willow or reed. The finished weave is soft to touch, supple, tear resistant, colour-fast, and weather resistant. It is not affected by differences in temperature and is extremely hard-wearing. It is widely available in many attractive neutral shades from black to white.

All the garden furniture of this type that we sell at Holloways is woven onto aluminium frames. Aluminium cannot rust and therefore will not be affected by wet weather conditions.

CARING FOR YOUR OUTDOOR WICKER FURNITURE

Outdoor wicker garden furniture is about as low-maintenance as it gets. Light cleaning once or twice a year is all it takes to keep your furniture looking new for years.
  • Use a non-foaming cleaning product – we can supply one – or a solution of warm water and mild soap, with a soft brush. Rinse carefully.
  • Furniture covers aren't just for winter. For inclement days, holidays and prolonged periods of down time, a bespoke furniture cover will protect it from the elements.   • Just make sure your furniture, and any cushions, are dry before you cover or store them.

Most outdoor fabrics are resistant to sunlight and mildew, but should not be left outside for long periods and should always be brought in to dry if they get soaked.
