And please don’t think that florals are sugary sweet “Nature inspired prints bring harmony and beauty into our life,” says Sarah. Bring the outdoors in with nature inspired prints and create an indoor garden. And you will find that floral prints are particularly at home in a garden room, or conservatory.
Is a fully-flowered sofa still too much of a leap for you? You can still enjoy a modern floral pattern on a statement chair. Here a stone flag floor, pale walls and white woodwork are crying out for this injection of colour and pattern. Could one of your rooms enjoy the same?
Wall flowers
Grace, Jane Churchill
The newest wallpapers making an appearance in nearly all collections remind us of wallpapers our grandmother might have had – vintage floral designs and delicate colours.
Vintage Daisy
Another popular trend is designs that look like a watercolour painting. This ‘unfinished water colour’ pattern in Jane Churchill’s ‘Vintage Daisy’ is one of the nicest. It is available in three colourways.
Fantastic Floral Fabrics
To quote Interiors writer Laura Whateley, the look once know as chintz, is now “romantic with a cool edge, big on prints and very big on petals and leaves.”
You can introduce floral patterns subtly at first, by using them on scatter cushions. This jolly collection shows some of the many designs you will find in our showrooms.

Bluebell Gray, Florrie
Bluebell Gray, new to our fabric collections, has many lovely bright florals, including Florrie, shown here. It looks gorgeous in a living room or bedroom, both on this chair and for curtains and blinds.
Pulling it together
There are three things to remember with this style – colour, colour and colour! Be bold, think large - pattern, flowers, leaves - mix bright colours together and themes from nature.

Mood board ‘colourful florals’
If this sounds more complex than picking plains to go together, please ask for help from one of our interior designers. They have taken to it like ducks to water (or should I say flowers on the vine), they have access to all the new collections and, don’t forget, their service is free of charge. They will put a mood board together for you to study at home and you will soon love this look as much as we do.
