Balmoral Oak Round Six Seater Table

Now that the temperature has dropped and the evenings are darker, it really starts to feel like Christmas is just around the corner. With this in mind, we begin to wonder about one of the most important questions over Christmas — what will our seasonal table decor be this year?

The dining table is where all of the magic happens, a place for entertaining guests, lazy long dinners spread over hours, and evening conversation that continues long after the last mouthful has been eaten. Whether you’re looking for some new style inspiration or are planning a traditional Christmas, we’ve looked at three of our favourite styles to help you create your table.

Natural Christmas

Christmas is one of the perfect times to appreciate the beauty of nature, and there is nothing more comforting than the smell of pine and fir reminding you what time of year it is. Use textures and colours that are, after all, part of the celebration of Christmas: pine greens, berry reds and rustic browns. Sprigs of ivy are great for delicately dressing tableware and a runner of green fir looks beautiful at the centre of the dining table. Pine cones scattered on the table add character and a heart-warming country feel.

Light Up

Lighting is such an important element in creating the perfect, Christmas ambiance. Candles placed throughout the table will draw attention to delicate foliage and create a warm, cosy welcome. There is nothing better than a delightful festive scent to make your guests feel truly relaxed.

Why not go for a more Scandinavian style and use hand-crafted lanterns and tea lights to add some interesting style? We have some delightful designs, including wooden stars, silver reindeer and Christmas tree-shaped lanterns that are sure to add a gorgeous glow.

A Decorative Touch

Sheldrake Extending Table

Pretty Christmas tree decorations are not just for the tree — make the most out of their beautiful detail by thoughtfully laying them on tableware and place settings. They even look stunning when grouped together in jars or bowls, together with lights to reflect the twinkling colours — a real Christmassy centrepiece for the table.

Metro Oak Table

This are just a few ways to dress your Christmas table, we have even more inspiration in our showroom and will be posting further ideas on our News page in the run up to Christmas.
