New year, new interior

Revitalise, restore and declutter

While decluttering is a job we should all do regularly, life inevitably gets in the way. For most of us, the clear-out is a marathon post-Christmas task, when the decorations have been packed away and the first, hopeful shoots of spring still feel a long time hence.

Revitalising our homes is a sure-fire way to beat the January blues - creating calming spaces to ease the mind and soothe the soul; clearing drawers, taking stock of cupboards and refreshing walls and furnishings for the new season ahead.

A softer palette

While rich shades like Clove and Ink are show-stopping in winter interiors, now’s the time to refresh walls to reflect the new season. We love this palette of self greys, blues and rose pinks, with a fresh backdrop of Neptune’s Salt emulsion - paint available in-store.

Making tracks

If your furniture is still looking great, beautiful new curtains or elegant blinds in carefully-chosen fabrics can transform the look and feel of your rooms without embarking on a huge design project. Our interior design studio is full of inspirational books from the world’s leadings fabric houses, from GP&J Baker to Cole & Son, Romo to Sanderson.

Book a free design consultation, and our skilled interior designers will take the time to understand your style, suggest fabrics and window treatments to suit your home, and will send samples to your door so you can mull over your options and decide in your own time.

Room with a view

While we wait patiently for warm summer days, there’s no better place to admire the great outdoors than from the conservatory. Reimagine what can be a rather underused space into a bright sitting room, dining room or home office with our garden room sets.

Decluttering is good for the soul, of that there’s no doubt. An ordered bedroom makes for a calm and restful environment. From roomy wardrobes with baskets for belts and socks, chests of drawers to pretty bedside tables, now’s the time to say goodnight to clutter.

Ottoman Empire

What to do with all those guest towels and spare linen, the children’s toys, the Christmas board games? An ottoman is the smart solution for tidying bedrooms and streamlining sitting rooms. They can be pretty window seats, too. Upholstered pieces bring harmony to your scheme.

Deck the halls

Hallways are some of the most difficult spaces to furnish and decorate. Often narrow and lacking natural light, they’re high-traffic areas and so pieces must be both practical and durable.

Keeping wellies and waterproofs handy, yet tidy, is a challenge, and when you throw trainers, riding boots, hats, scarves and walking shoes into the mix, there’s a lot to contend with.

A smart bootroom bench is both a place to sit when you’re pulling on your footwear, and a place to tuck boots away, so your guests are greeted with order, not clutter.

Action stations

While working from home has become the norm for many of us, we don’t always have space for a dedicated home office. Claim back your dining table with a workstation - productive for the 9-5, and when it’s done, a beautiful piece of furniture.
